Stephan (ステファン Sutefann) is an commoner student of the prestigious Thors Military Academy introduced in the Trails of Cold Steel trilogy.

A hotblooded guy who seems to work hard on subjects he's currently doing, and believes to never five up at anything in the way. He and Machias get along nicely as they are both smart and intelligent guys that know their way in using technology base objects; computers, terminals, and have a good hobby of playing chess.
